Nigeria international Bright Osayi-Samuel is on the verge of sealing a return to the English Premier League, with reports from Turkey indicating that Crystal Palace have reached a broad agreement to sign the Fenerbahce right back.
According to Fotomac, the Eagles have offered the former Queens Park Rangers defender a four-and-a-half-year deal worth €4m per season. The Turkish outlet reported that both parties have made significant progress in negotiations, with an agreement close to being finalised.
“The island team offered the player a 4.5-year contract for an annual fee of 4 million euros and the parties reached a large agreement,” Fotomac stated.
Osayi-Samuel, who joined Fenerbahce in 2021 after leaving QPR, has been keen on a return to England, and his name resurfaced in connection with Palace during the last transfer window. His current contract with the Turkish giants expires this summer, and while Fenerbahce have made efforts to extend his stay, the defender appears poised to make a move.
Despite Fenerbahce’s manager, José Mourinho, reportedly wanting to retain him, the Super Eagles star looks set to part ways with the Istanbul club having featured in 33 matches across all competitions this season.
Osayi-Samuel is known for his pace and versatility on the right flank, and Fotomac added that he is seen as a perfect “suited for Palace’s tactical system,” which will make him become a key addition to the team ahead of the 2025–26 season.
