Nigerians began a ten-day protest today, August 1, 2024, to express frustration with the country’s worsening economic conditions.

In a video shared on social media, a reporter from News Central in Borno state provided insight into the situation.

He noted that he was unsure if the sound heard was an explosion, or gun shot as protesters fled for their lives. However, a life was lost in the process.
