Ondo governor, Akeredolu proceeds on another medical leave

Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has gone on a medical leave, and will put his duties as governor of the state on hold till he is medically fit to work again.

Mr Akeredolu has been receiving chemotherapy for the treatment of leukaemia since January 2023.

Leukaemia is a blood cancer caused by a rise in the number of white blood cells in the body.

Recall that the 67-year-old politician returned to Nigeria in September after a three-month medical leave in Germany but would have to go again since his condition needs more care.
