Ondo: Woman jailed for killing husband

A widow has been sentenced to one-year imprisonment for causing the death of her husband.

Identified as Toyin Olusa, she reportedly poured hot water on Mr. Adeyinka Olusa, the deceased, thereby causing him bodily harm, particularly to his mouth, chest, hands, thighs, and legs.

The sad incident occurred in Ijoka area of Akure.

Mr. Olusa, who is a former auditor at the School of Health Technology, Akure died at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State in 2017.

Mrs. Olusa's arrest was orchestrated by the husband’s family who accused her of pouring hot water on him.

Magistrate, Mrs Ruth Olomilua however gave her an option of fine of N200,000.
