The Ondo State government has debunked claims that it adopted the Oodua anthem.

According to the state government, the anthem adopted in the state is the indigenous anthem different from the Oodua anthem.

This was conveyed in a press statement on Monday, May 24, 2021, by Richard Olatunde, Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

He noted that the indigenous anthem was adopted to promote the tradition and culture of the Yoruba race.

Adding that it was necessary to clarify in order to avoid misconceptions in the public.
