Ambassador Reno Omokri has slammed former presidential candidate Peter Obi for ignoring the good news of Nigeria's 4-0 victory over Mozambique in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco to celebrate bad news.
"You just wait for disaster to occur, then you capitalise on it. Do an audit of your timeline. Your posts do not reflect your plans for Nigeria or your celebration of good news in our country. More than 65% of your posts are just a litany of amplifying bad news," Omokri worte on social media.
On Monday, the Super Eagles defeated Mozambique in a stunning 4-0 victory. According to Omokri, Obi was silent about the good news.
"Not one word from you to celebrate, praise or acknowledge their win. Also, yesterday, the Nigerian Stock Exchange crossed ₦100 trillion for the first time ever, and you said nothing.
"Your focus for Nigeria is for evil, not good!"
He said the last four posts on Obi's timeline are all in celebration of bad news.
"Do you derive some sick joy when negativity occurs?" he asked.
"Sir, I beg of you, please consider seeing a therapist. This is no longer ordinary!
"And not only do you celebrate bad news, but you also politicise it. The only exception is if it happens in the Southeast. At that point, you bury it.
"You suppress good news and express bad news!
"My God! What type of person are you?" he asked.
