former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has challenged Rufai Oseni, co-host of Arise TV morning Show as well as the station to a legal battle over reports on President Bola Tinubu’s Chicago State University graduation.

He accused Oseni and his principal of being culpable of disseminating false news against the legitimacy of Tinubu in-view of his admission, attendance and graduation from CSU.

The PDP loyalist insisted contrary to the claims of Oseni and his principal, the CSU at no point denied the former Lagos Governor on the strength of any subpoena.

He reiterated his readiness as meticulous record keeper for a legal battle against Oseni and his principal TV station to prove the authenticity on the foregoing.

He wrote: “I don’t know if Rufai Oseni is speaking on behalf of Arise News. If he is, then there is no need for too much talk. Let us meet in court.

“Rufai Oseni is a liar, and AriseTV is guilty of passing off lies as news. Bola Tinubu was admitted, attended, and graduated from Chicago State University.

“Chicago State University never denied him on the strength of any subpoena. And if both Rufai Oseni and AriseTV are ready, then let us meet in court. I am a meticulous record keeper and I am very ready. Simple #TableShaker.”

Previously, Omokri responded to criticism for holding ‘facts’ about the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) despite his affiliation with the opposition.

Regarding Tinubu’s Chicago State University report, Omokri emphasised that he was, in fact, admitted, attended, and successfully graduated from the same institution.

According to the former president Goodluck Jonathan’s aide, he personally took a trip to the varsity in 2022, to establish the truth and didn’t rely on speculations while parties were preparing for the 2023 elections.

Omokri clarified before the trip, he was just like critics of the president that actually believed what fake news websites said about Bola Tinubu not attending Chicago State University until he spent $4000 to fly to Chicago to verify the truth thus, learning the ‘hard way’.
