A series of tweets shared by President Bola Tinubu’s media aide, Olusegun Dada, alleging that the Nigerian President is corrupt and deceitful have surfaced.
Comedian Mr. Macaroni revealed these tweets on his X page, criticizing Dada for his recent anti-protest outburst against Nigerians planning a nationwide protest from August 1-10 over rising living costs and economic hardship.
Recall that Olusegun Dada took to social media to threaten Nigerians planning to protest, stating they would face fierce resistance.
He said, “Those who want to burn the country down under whatever guise will meet the strongest resistance of their lives. Not from security agencies, but from the silent majority that gave their mandate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for four years in the first instance. We are waiting.”
Nigerians, including Mr. Macaroni, who were displeased with his comment, shared screenshots of Dada’s past posts on protests and previous administrations.
In one old tweet, Dada wrote, “Same set of people that called a sitting President unprintable names a few years ago are the same set of people that would attack and curse you for demanding good governance even in the most polite of ways. Awon Agba Gaslighters.”
In another post, he described Tinubu, whom he currently works for as Special Assistant on social media, as a corrupt man. “ACN is a shop set up by Bola Tinubu, he’s a corrupt man, he is just a man covered with deceit, he can’t deceive me tho.......” Dada tweeted.
Mr. Macaroni called out Dada for threatening Nigerians against exercising their civil rights, whereas he himself did the same to other government leaders, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, whom he described as a “fool and idiot.”
Reacting to Dada’s post, Mr. Macaroni described Olusegun Dada as a “naughty boy,” saying, “Now that he is Senior Special Assistant to the President, those of us that dare speak against bad governance are ‘Bastards’. This is what APC trolls are, have always been, and will continue to be. The Real Emergency Lovers of Nigeria!”
He added, “Same set of people that called a sitting President unprintable names a few years ago are the same set of people that would attack and curse you for demanding good governance even in the most polite of ways. Awon Agba Gaslighters.”
