Old photo of Pastor Adeboye and Tinubu pops up after cleric's statement on President

An old photo of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has emerged on social media.

The photo was dug up by social media users after the cleric said on Sunday, May 28 that Tinubu's presidency will herald "a new Nigeria".

In the photo was also former Lagos Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola.

In a song composed by Adeboye, the cleric expressed optimism about a new Nigeria.

A part of the lyrics went thus: “There shall be a new Nigeria! This decree we all must make.

“We’ll see the nation of our dream, as we commit to prayers.”

Bola Tinubu was sworn in as president and Kashim Shettima as vice president at the inauguration at Eagles Square in Abuja.

The ceremony was attended by more than 20 Heads of State.
