Okoye targets personal record against AC Milan

Maduka Okoye, Udinese goalkeeper and Nigerian international, is targeting a personal record of three consecutive clean sheets for the first time in his Serie A career as his side faces European giants AC Milan on Saturday.

The Nigerian international has been on an incredible run in recent weeks after keeping two consecutive clean sheets and will aim to extend his form against the Italian giants.

A clean sheet in his first outing after the international break means Okoye has not conceded since Jérémie Boga’s 38th-minute winner in Udinese’s 1-0 defeat to Juventus at the Bluenergy Stadium on March 14.

Prior to that clash, the last time Okoye registered back-to-back clean sheets in Italy’s topflight was in February 2024, when he kept out Monza and Juventus in successive matches.

However, Udinese have not gone three consecutive matches without conceding for over a year, making Okoye’s target even more significant.

Okoye, who has started 23 of 24 matches and conceded 26 goals this season, is expected to be available for the clash against AC Milan.

With seven games to go, Udinese need at least nine points to ensure survival in Serie A.
