Okowa vows to impound unauthorized vehicles entering Delta State

Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa has promised to impound unauthorized vehicles entering Delta State and violating the inter-state movement ordered by President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to stem the spread of COVID19.

Governor Okowa disclosed this while speaking to newsmen shortly after monitoring situations at Niger Bridge boundary between Delta and Anambra and at Alifikede, the boundary community between Delta and Edo on the Benin-Asaba highway.

"Inter-state movement of goods and services has been restricted to agricultural products and essential goods. The reason behind this lockdown is to limit the number of persons moving across states in order to reduce the spread of the COVID19,” Governor Okowa said.
