Delta state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has urged Nigerians to support the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to take over governance in the country in 2023.

The governor made the call on Sunday, September 27 at a thanksgiving service by the chairman of the Delta state chapter of the PDP, Chief Kingsley Esiso, in Sapele.

He said the PDP would do everything possible with the support of the people of Nigeria to win the 2023 presidential election and restore good governance, including infrastructural development in the country.

Okowa stated that the party was working very hard to win more states in the country as a precursor to getting back control of the presidency which it lost in 2015.

According to him, with the abysmal performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government, Nigerians are already convinced on the imperative of voting back PDP to power in 2023.

Earlier, Esiso had in an address expressed delight at the grand reception in his honour.

Meanwhile, following the rumoured presidential ambition of the former governor of Lagos state and national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in 2023, a prominent Christian leader and founder of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Ayodele, has made a new prophecy.

In an interview with a national newspaper, the cleric described Tinubu's ambition to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a good development in the country's political system.

Similarly, the senator representing Oyo North senatorial district in the National Assembly, Abdulfatai Buhari has made known his intention to support the reported presidential ambition of Tinubu.

Buhari during an interview said he will back Tinubu to be the next president of Nigeria the moment the APC chieftain declares his interest for the job.
