Okonjo-Iweala expresses gratitude for support on latest appointment

The latest member on the board of South Africa’s Presidential Economic Advisory Council, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has expressed profound gratitude to the people that showed her love on her recent appointment into South Africa's Government.

Taking to Twitter, the two-time Nigerian Minister of Finance penned a heartfelt message that expressed how she felt regarding Ramaphosa's appointment.

She wrote: "I am grateful for the outpouring of love and support from Nigerians and other friends on my appointment by President @CyrilRamaphosa as a member of the South African PEAC. I appreciate Your Excellencies and all my friends and followers."



The Nigerian-born economist and international development expert was appointed onto the Presidential Economic Advisory Council in Pretoria by the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, three days ago.

Since then congratulatory messages have trailed her appointment. Top amongst them came from former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi.
