Ogun State: Gov Dapo Abiodun approves N30,500 as new minimum wage

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has announced the approval of N30,500 as the new minimum wage for workers in the state.

The governor who disclosed this on Twitter revealed that the decision was made after a meeting with the Organized Labour.

He said: "Our Government has approved the minimum wage payment of N30,500 to state workers, effective from 1st January, 2020.

"This was after negotiations we had with the Organised Labour which resulted in a jointly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

"The MOU also includes agreement on the 27% consequential adjustment for Grade Level 07, 20% for GL 08, 19% for GL 09, 15% for GL 10 to 14, and 14% for GL 15 to 17. #BuildingOurFutureTogether".
