Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, often known as Mr. Funny or Sabinus, is a Rivers State-born Nigerian actor, comedian, and master of ceremonies.

1.His real name is Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu

Oga Sabinus' real name is Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ejekwu, he was born on January 30, 1995 and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

2.Education career

He had his early education in Port Harcourt and proceeded to his bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Communication Studies from the University of Port Harcourt.

According to Sabinus, his father had initially preferred he study Law at the University but he opted for Linguistics instead.

3.Comedy career

Mr. Funny started his comedy career in 2015, but he rose to prominence in 2019 after he started sharing his skits on social media and celebrities reposted them.

While in the university, he began to perform comedy skits regularly. This occurred in 2015 during a School Student Union week. Oga Sabinus decided to take his comedy to the next level by posting numerous comedy skits on his social media accounts, particularly Instagram.

He attracted the attention of famous Instagram influencers, who began to share his skits. Mr. Funny quickly gained a large number of followers who liked and commented on his posts.

He is the brand ambassador of the popular betting site "Oddstackr."

4.Awards

In the inaugural edition of The Humour Awards Academy in 2021, he was nominated alongside fellow comedian Basketmouth. He was nominated for Densa Award in The Creative Social Media category which he won. He was also nominated for the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards in the Best Online Social Content Creator category and he won.

5.Marriage status

Oga Sabinus has tried to keep details of his love life under wraps but the comedian is reportedly in a serious relationship and engaged.
