'Obj respects culture' - Nigerians hail Obasanjo for kneeling before 37-year-old monarch

Social media was on overdrive after a video of former President Olusegun Obasanjo kneeling before the Olu of Warri went viral.

The 84-year-old former president was caught on camera kneeling before the newly crowned Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse 111.

This follows a visit to the Monarch on Sunday, August 22, 2021, during the coronation thanksgiving service in Warri, Delta State.

He urged Atuwatse 111, to unite the entire Itsekiri nation and begin the process of healing the kingdom.

But being able to kneel easily and stand back without difficulty is a great feat for many persons his age. Bravo OBJ!!"
