Obidients believe Peter Obi will win in 2023 after 'structureless' Saudi shock Argentina

Saudi Arabia's win against Argentina in the World cup on Tuesday, November 22 has given supporters of Peter Obi the needed impetus and confidence that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party has a chance in the 2023 elections in February.

With bookmakers not giving the Saudi's a chance in the game, the Arabs caused a major football upset when they defeated an Argentine side captained by Lionel Messi in the opening game of Group C. That win has been described by many as one of the shocks of the tournament history.

While many are yet to come to terms with the shock, Obidients on social media are of the opinion that their candidate can replicate the same in the presidential election in February next year.

Peter Obi, who is a former governor of Anambra will hope the upset the bookmakers with his fringe Labour Party at the polls against Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Both candidates are more experienced, wealthy and possess the needed structure to win an election.

His popularity has grown over the months leading to the polls. What makes him a serious candidate is the endorsement is has gotten locally and internationally.

A section of Nigerians were reacting to a video of Saudi Arabia's second goal that was posted by Dino Melaye, the spokesperson of the Presidential Campaign Council of the PDP.
