Reno Omokri, a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has knocked social media commentators and critics who believe he should be arrested for several corrupt practices.

Omokri, who is based outside Nigeria for a larger part of President Buhari's administration also debunked rife reports that he was detained at the Heathrow Airport.

He stressed that his hands are clean and dared anyone to come arrest him.

He wrote on his Instagram page: "So I have been hearing these allegations that I will be arrested when I get to Nigeria and it has been getting on my nerves. So I decided to come to Nigeria, fly in on Saturday and I was the first person that came out of the flight because I bought a first-class ticket. You can see the ticket, 1A and I was the very first person out of the plane."

"I came to Nigeria from Heathrow so I wasn't detained at Heathrow and arrived at Nnamdi Azikwe Airport."

"My hands are clean. I was investigated until my underwear. I didn't steal government money or put government money inside my bank so on what basis will anyone want to arrest me?
