Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has said the Obidient movement is a danger to Nigeria's national security, stressing that they were set up to terrorise, online and offline, anybody who does not sheepishly and unreasonably support Peter Obi blindly.

He said the movement is unleashed on dissenting voices to bully them and repeatedly sully their reputation until everybody is afraid to counter Peter Obi's many lies for fear of the repercussions from that terror organisation.

This was after Obi promised to release the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) if elected as President.

"There is no difference between the Obidient movement and IPOB—none whatsoever. Look at their modus operandi. Nnamdi Kanu heads IPOB's violent arm, while Peter Obi leads its political arm. Many of those who run catfish accounts on X (formerly Twitter) for Peter Obi are core IPOB members," Omokri said in a Facebook post.

"These guys run an operation that has the ability to hack the social media accounts of those who refuse to be intimidated, and are even suspected to be behind cyber attacks against notable Nigerian institutions like INEC, JAMB, and WAEC, etc.

"They have physically attempted to intimidate me in my home and have severally threatened to kill my child. For that, there can be no forgiveness!

"They have successfully bullied almost everyone in the Nigerian public space, so even when public intellectuals know that Peter Obi is blatantly lying about things like the state of Nigeria's indebtedness, they are afraid to counter him.

"President Bola Tinubu has not borrowed more than Yar'adua, Jonathan and Buhari combined. That is an IPOB-crafted lie, given to Peter Obi to spout. President Tinubu had not even borrowed up to 25% of what General Buhari alone took as loans.

'You do not have to believe me. Assume I am lying and go to the Debt Management Office's website. If you do not trust the government, then go to the website or social media handles of Statusense, Nigeria's premier private sector data analytics firm.

"That statement by Peter Obi, made on Channels TV, is a big Goebbelsian lie meant to outrage the Nigerian public and trigger the nationwide protests presently occurring in Kenya.

"The ultimate aim of IPOB, and their political puppet, Peter Obi, who even praised them on Channels TV as people that he knows and meets, is the dissolution of Nigeria, either through war, or through a political puppet such as Peter Obi.

"Peter Obi is the Hitl*r and IPOB is the N*zi Party.

"But they cannot bully me. Rather, I will expose this movement and its IPOB handlers and ensure that Obidients are defeated politically while IPOB is vanquished militarily.

"You may have successfully terrorised the Nigerian public space, but I was born without the ability to be afraid. You, IPOB, and your political face, Peter Obi, will fail, and Nigeria will succeed under President Bola Tinubu."
