A Chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Reno Omokri believes Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party is “out” of the presidential race.

Reno, a key member of Atiku’s campaign organization noted that the presidential race is now between his principal, Atiku Abubakar and Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a post on his Instagram page, he wrote: "From situation room reports, Obi is out of #NigerianElections2023. It seems the North may have been more noble in keeping their promises than had been expected. Only Waziri and Asiwaju remain in the race. Sadly, due to their usual braggadocio, the damage Obi has done to himself and others won’t be apparent to Obidients."

Results from thousands of polling unit across the federation are yet to be accounted for as voting started late in many of these polling units.

Obi, who has become a sensation throughout the electioneering period is believed to be in poll position following his victory in several polling units.

Results in the stronghold of Tinubu and Atiku are expected in the coming hours.
