Obasanjo, Adebanjo, Peter Obi visit Ohanaeze Ndigbo HQ

Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo; presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi; and the leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo; on Sunday paid a visit to the headquarters of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Enugu State.

The trio were in the state to condole with Ohanaeze Ndigbo over the death of a former minister, Mbazulike Amaechi, who died in November.

Photos from the event were shared on the verified Twitter handle of the former Anambra Governor who said they were received by “Chief Ogene Okeke”.

He wrote, “I joined President Obasanjo and Pa Ayo Adebanjo at the Ohanaeze Headquarters in Enugu to sign the condolence register for late Chief Mbazulike Amaechi. The team was received by Chief Ogene Okeke. – PO.”

Prior to his death, Amaechi had led a strong delegate to President Buhari to appeal the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
