Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo is very optimistic that Nigerian footballer, Ola Aina will soon sign a new contract at the club.

Aina arrived the City Ground as a free agent in the summer of 2023.

The tricky trees triggered the one-year option in his contract last summer.

The 27-year-old has six months remaining on his current deal and will soon pen to paper on a new one.

Santo is positive that the full-back and Chris Wood will extend their stay at the club.

“I think so. I think things are going well and the players are working very good,” Santo told a press conference on Friday, January 3, 2025.

The 27-year-old has scored twice in 19 league appearances for the Tricky Trees this season.
