A section of Nigerians on the social media platform X has cautioned socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu against another nationwide protest.

This comes after Yesufu, a social media commentator in a post on X on Sunday, November 12 warned of a more devastating protest than the deadly #EndSARS protest that rocked the core of the country in 2020.

In a tweet on X, the political commentator said "No one will be spared" claiming there is "simmering anger fueled by the impunity and brazenness of the corrupt politicians and rulers."

Reactions to her tweet vary, however, some cited by Nigeria have warned her against starting a protest, especially from the southwest.

A tweep with the handle @iamisrael2 wrote: "Dear Aisha, Not in South West again. You can do that in your region. Best regards."

Mrs Yesufu, an ally of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate in the 2023 elections was vocal in the #EndSARS protest of 2020.

The #EndSARS protest was a decentralized social movement and a series of mass protests against police brutality in the country.

The slogan called for the disbanding of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a notorious unit of the Nigeria Police.

The protest, which started on Twitter, resulted in mass demonstrations occurring throughout the major cities of Nigeria and accompanied violence, leading to the death of many young Nigerians.

"Nobody saw #EndSARS protest coming. Nobody will see the next uprising coming. Sadly it might end up being violent. There is a simmering anger fueled by the impunity and brazenness of the corrupt politicians and rulers who have rigged their way into power. Nobody will be spared," she wrote on X.
