'No no' - Gov Adeleke says his family's war-chest won't be used to fund project in 'bankrupt' Osun State

Governor Ademola Adeleke has stated that he won't use funds from the Adeleke war chest to manage the economy of the state.

The Governor made the comment on Tuesday, May 10 in an interview with Channels TV.

According to him, the state is well-resourced to fund its activities.

"Well no no...I told you before that when I came in, the first thing I did was to block all the leakages of corruption. Where our money is going, block all the unnecessary spending and I pray to God to give me the wisdom of Solomon to be able to see what I can do for my people."

Meanwhile, Governor Adeleke has dedicated his victory at the Supreme Court to God and the people of the state.

This comes after the Supreme Court on Tuesday struck out an appeal by former Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging Adeleke’s victory in the July 16 2022 Osun governorship election.

He claimed there was overvoting. But a five-man panel of justices dismissed Oyetola’s appeal, saying it lacked merit, and upheld Adeleke’s win at the Appeal Court.

Minutes after the verdict, the Governor who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) thanked the people for their support.
