Human rights activist, Segun Awosanya aka Segalink has reacted to the arrest and detention of a member of the House of Representatives, Honorable Shina Peller.

MyNigeria reported that Shina Peller was detained on allegation that he mobilized over 50 thugs to invade a police station in Lagos.

Reacting to the detention of the lawmaker, Segalink stated that no individual is bigger than the law.

He tweeted:

"This is being looked into Distinguished The CP of @PoliceNG_lagos and Distinguished DSP @ElkanaBala are forever commended on the restraint exercised on the traffic obstruction matter of customers of Quilox that could have been managed better by the Honorable @ShinaPeller & the officers of Panti Police station.

"All parties however have been reached to ensure this is sorted amicably with civility. Traffic management remains top priority of @followlasg and @followlastma who’s been pushed beyond their threshold with the parking nuisance of the customers of that club.

"No individual is bigger than the law in any state and orientation will continue to be given to citizens across classes on the independence of the new face of policing in Nigeria. The honorable will be released & he will spend the holiday at home. #EndGoSlow #KeepLagosMoving"
