Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to former President Muhammadu Buhari, has joined many in lamenting the economic hardship facing Nigerians under President Bola Tinubu.
He expressed concern about the silence of Nigerians in the face of hardships caused by the policies implemented by Tinubu’s government.
Taking to his X page, Bashir encouraged people to help one another during these challenging times of economic realities worsened by the hike in fuel prices.
He said: “Truly, many people are struggling silently, in these times of critical economic hardship. They shouldn't have to beg or show their need for our support.
‘Let's extend a helping hand to as many people as we can, even when they don't ask for it. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Encourage those in your circle to also do the same.”
Currently the country is facing a hike in fuel prices. On Wednesday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited announced an increase in fuel prices from N850 to N1030 per litre.
