The news of the death of Former President of the Republic of Ghana, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings has taken the West African continent by surprise.
Thousands of Nigerians have taken to social media to react to his death which was announced today, November 12, 2020.
Sources reveal that he passed away after battling a short illness.
To some Nigerians, he was 'a great iroko tree which had fallen', and a leader who lived an exemplary life.
According to another group of Nigerians, he has greatly transformed Ghana into the great country it is today.
