The driver of the black saloon vehicle who has been identified as Hajia Selimat Idowu, a resident of Chikakore community in Abuja has been confirmed dead following the sad incident which occurred on Thursday, December 15.

The distressing video which was filmed by a bystander has been greeted by mixed reactions from some Nigerians on social media.

Some believe the victim committed suicide, whereas others believe she was genuinely stranded and couldn't escape.

Many others are of the view that bystanders could have done more to salvage the situation instead of filming.

_@nuvo_xx wrote, For someone to capture this moment. That means , they have been warning this person to leave that place. Cus why will u stop there

_@ella_of_troy said, Camera man had just one job!????‍♀️

_@tyson.arishekola asked, Why couldn’t she get out of the car and run ????

_@_manofhope thinks, This looks like a suicide he or she did that intentionally! God forgive her soul

_@mauvict_goddess response to @_manofhope said, This is not a suicide. The car got stucked . By the time she was coming out from the car, it was already late. Fear and anxiety can put confusion in your head. RIP

_@kasdyl added, Hope she didn’t intentionally allow that to happen bcos why the railway? Didn’t she hear the train horn from a distance? Why didn’t she just run? For the cameraman to video or record shows she has been their for a stipulated period of time

_@tiger_ratty7 also said, Maybe she was depressed and committed suicide ah cuz I can’t imaging someone stopping at a rain way.
