Nigerians react after video emerge of flood victims in Bayelsa state given a cup of rice as relief material

A video is making rounds of flood victims in communities in Bayelsa state being given a cup of rice each as relief material.

Following the flood situation affecting residents of Bayelsa state, a video, showing how people gathered around to take their share of one cup of rice from an undisclosed source has raised concerns.

The flood victims were seen holding up the polythene bag to receive the cup of rice from a young man who was in charge of distributing it.

Twitter user @VictorIsrael_ who shared the video wrote;

"I’m so embarrassed, angry and sad at the same time. Imagine the government giving one cup of rice as relief materials to flood victims in Bayelsa who did we offend? Ah! We can’t suffer again like this in the next 8 years o."

Many Nigerians have since taken to social media to react to the situation in Bayelsa state.
