Nigerians descend on UK councillor over leaked comment that 'all white men should have a Black slave'

Following a leaked audio conversation of a Conservative UK politician saying “all white men should have a Black slave,” many Africans have been left displeased over his remark.

Andrew Edwards, a County councillor and magistrate in Pembrokeshire, Wales is currently under investigations over his alleged racist comment.

In the leaked audio, Andrew Edwards, was heard saying that Blacks are of a lower class than the white people.

A man could be heard saying: “Nothing wrong with the skin colour at all. (...) I think all white men should have a Black man as a slave or Black woman as a slave, you know.”

Andrew added: “There’s nothing wrong with skin colour, it’s just that they’re lower class than us white people.”

Although it is unknown when or where the clip was recorded.

Reacting to the leaked audio, Mr Edwards, who represents the Haverfordwest Prendergast ward, said: “I am aware of such serious allegations being made against me.

“This is why I have self-referred to the Public Services Ombudsman for an independent evaluation.

“It is now in the hands of legal experts and the ombudsman. It would be unfair on the process for me to comment.”

Some Nigerians have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the leaked conversation.

A social media user wrote; "Relax he's no bastard. Aren't we lower ?! Look at what we made a blessed Nation called Nigeria thru our idiotic selfish wicked corrupt politicians and executives. We are blessed with every kind of natural resources on the surface of the earth but no thanks to PM and his likes we live in abject poverty while few steal the country dry no iota of selflessness...our worry should be are lower than animals too!"

Alhaji Gbasgbos: "Do you blame him? Instead blame our African leaders for turning African countries upside without developments while giving the whites preferential treatment whenever they come to Africa!"

Another said; "Imagine if the guy read the vile comments and threats by Nigerians on their fellow black people and on themselves during these last elections in Nigeria. Would you blame him for the vile assert. The conduct of the election, manipulation of results and brazen disregard for regulations and respect for one another are enough reasons for this pretentiously white human to make the despicable comment. Continue promoting governments that have kept and will continue to keep people impoverished in the mane of tribe."

A user wrote; "Well the ass lickers who are team drug lord and Team AGBEROS are those who deserve to be slaves to people like this.. if you sold your country for a bag of rice and 5 liters of oil. You are a second class citizen"

"He is right because our leaders are not doing us Africa Country any good, no development in Africa"

ANYIAM AUSTIN; "He needs to be investigated and if fou d culpable,he must face the music and must be recalled. He is not fit to hold any public post because he will cause genocide against people of colour. He needs to be prosecuted ASAP."
