A large number of women has gathered outside the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja to pray against the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu on May 29.

In a video making rounds, the women also rained curses on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu having declared Bola Tinubu winner of the 2023 presidential election.

Recall that the general election was held on February 25. However, some political parties were not pleased with the process of the election as they raised concerns over the INEC's refusal to upload results unto the IREV directly from the polling units.

Also there were irregularities during the election, as thugs were seen snatching ballot boxes and destroying ballot papers in some poling station.

Observers described the 2023 presidential election as one that lacked transparency.

As a result of these, the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party who came 2nd and 3rd respectively are challenging the results in court.

A week to the inauguration ceremony, some Nigerian Women mobilised to pray to God to restore Peter Obi's mandate through court.
