Nigerian woman stabs partner to death in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police have detained a young woman named Alice Mulak for fatally stabbing her boyfriend.

According to reports, Alice who is from Ungwan Gwari in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa, fatally stabbed her partner after a contentious quarrel.

According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the command’s spokesperson, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday, October 14, 2022, a preliminary investigation showed that the incident occurred at around 3:30 pm behind the City Rock Hotel in Mararaba when the deceased and his girlfriend got into altercations due to a misunderstanding.

The statement reads:

"Hence, the suspect was arrested, and the knife used in perpetrating the offence was consequently recovered based on the directives of the Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi.

“The suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia for further investigation and subsequent prosecution.” The statement read."
