Former Presidential aspirant and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rotimi Amaechi, has taken a swipe at the political class, noting that they do not have an ideology.

He commented on a video that has since gone viral as he applauded a colleague whose event he had attended.

Amaechi, a huge critic of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, despite being in the same party for more than 12 years, the political class are swayed mostly by money.

"Nigerian politicians have no ideology; it is where the stomach goes that they go. So to see a man like Emeka having an ideology, I praise you and ask God to bless you," he said in the short video.

The video has since generated mixed reactions on social media.

Meanwhile, Amaechi has indicated he has intentions to run for the 2027 presidential elections on the ticket of the ADC, creating a huge match-up with former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
