Aloy Ejimakor and one of the brothers of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB}, Nnamdi Kanu, are being taken to Kuje Magistrates Court in Abuja.
This was disclosed in a post on X by Kanunta Kanu, another brothers of the detained IPOB leader.
"Nigeria’s govt now taking Barr. Aloy Ejimakor & Prince Emmanuel Kanu to Kuje Magistrates Court after unlawful arrest. This is a clear intimidation of Kanu, his family & legal team ahead of Thursday’s trial," he said.
MyNigeria reported that Ejimakor and Emmanuel were arrested on Monday while protesting the detention of Kanu.
Before their arrest, they were tear gassed by security operatives to disperse the crowd that gathered in support of the protest.
Kanu is being held by the Department of State Services (DSS), and is facing treasonable felony and terrorism charges in court.
