Nigerian celebrities that welcomed babies in 2022

2022 has been a beautiful year for some celebrities as they welcome the birth of a baby into their homes.

So far, we recorded seven celebrities that welcomed babies this year.

1. Woli Arole

Comedian Woli Arole, and wife welcomed their new baby boy on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Taking to his Instagram page to break the news, he wrote; “There are some testimonies you can’t share wearing clothes.

“God has blessed our family with a bouncing baby boy.

“Woli Arole the latest Daddy in town. God bless you, my wife.

“Yemi, you’re God’s gift to me.

“In case you see me dancing around today or smiling up and down, don’t ask me why oooo.

“I am a daddy.”

2. Williams Uchemba

Actor, Williams Uchemba and wife welcomed their first child, Chikamara Isabella Uchemba on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

Making the announcement on social media, William shared a video which showed his wife’s pregnancy journey.

The elated father appreciated his daughter for fulfilling his greatest desire of being a dad.

3. Omashola

Reality star, Omashola welcomed a baby boy with fiancée on Monday January 10, 2022.
On his Instagram page, Omashola shared a video of himself popping a bottle of champagne.

He captioned it: “It’s a boy.”

4. Yomi Fabiyi

Movie producer, Yomi Fabiyi welcomed a baby boy in February.

Taking to his Instagram page on February 10, Fabiyi shared a collage of videos with the mother of his child showing her bare belly while they were in a car.

The other showed him holding his newborn son beaming with utmost excitement and joy.

Elated by the news, Yomi thanked God for the baby’s safe arrival and appreciated the doctors, their parents, friends and neighbors for their support.

5. Lanre Gentry

Lanre Gentry, former husband of actress, Mercy Aigbe, welcomed a baby girl with his new wife, Oluwabusayo, on Sunday February 27, 2022.

Lanre took to his Instagram page to confirm the arrival of his new baby.

He wrote; “Thank you Lord for the gift of marriage. I’m very happy.

“It is a baby girl. Thank God.”

Lanre and Mercy parted ways after a 7-year tumultuous union and remarried Oluwabusayo in September 2021.

6. Oghenekaro Etebo

Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo welcomed a new baby on Friday, February 11, 2022.

Annoucing the arrival of his new baby, Etebo took to his official Instagram page to share a photo of himself and his wife posing with the baby.

He wrote; “we did it again Introducing our bundle of joy @isietebo thank God for the courage and strength you put in bringing this cutie to the World.

7. Korra Obidi

Dancer, Korra Obidi welcomed her second child, Athena Dean on Tuesday March 1, 2022.
Korra who is recently divorced from her marriage to Dr. Justin Dean, named their daughter June Dean.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Korra revealed that she had her second child through a “natural raw water birth.”

“Welcome the latest addition to the #DeanClan @AthenaDean_,” the dancer wrote in a caption to a photo of her newborn laying with her now ex-husband Justin Dean, and her first daughter.
