An unidentified cleric believes that the Igbo people who mostly reside in the southeast region are the key reason for Nigeria's success.

The cleric, delivering a sermon to his congregation, stated that without the Igbo, Nigeria would be "dry like vegetables."

He argued that the importance of the Igbo people is the reason why Northerners are not interested in the formation of a separate country and their exit from Nigeria.

In the video that has gone viral, he said "Igbos are Igbos. Anywhere we are, we are dominion. That is the reason why the northerners dont want us to go because if Igbo leave Nigeria today, Nigeria will be like the Ivory Coast, Nigeria will be like Somalia, and Nigeria will be like a dry vegetable because we are the cream of Nigeria," he said.

He continued: "If you go to Abuja, every beautiful house you see is owned by the Igbos. Any estate in Abuaj is one by the Igbos. If you go to Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, and Gombe beautiful things there are owned by Igbos. So If the Igbo leave Nigeria, Nigeria will not work."
