The Nigeria Center for Disease Control has announced a record of 204 fresh COVID-29 infections, taking the total number of cases to 1,932, as at Thursday night.

According to the report released by the NCDC, Nigeria has now recorded a total of 58 fatalities across the country.

Of the 204 new cases of #COVID19 reported by the NCDC, Kano accounts for a total of 80 cases, making it the state with the second-highest recorded cases, behind Lagos who also recorded 45 cases as at Thursday night.

The NCDC also confirmed 12 in Gombe, nine apiece in Sokoto and Bauchi, seven each in Borno and Edo, and six cases apiece were confirmed in both Rivers and Ogun States.

Other states with more new cases are the FCT with four, alongside Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa, Kaduna stands alone with three cases, Oyo, Delta and Nasarawa recorded two cases each while Ondo and Kebbi states recorded one case each.

As at "11:50pm 30th April- 1932 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria," the NCDC said, adding that there are now 319 recoveries and 58 fatalities.

"As at April 30 2020, 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria have recorded at least one confirmed case of #COVID19.

The NCDC also revealed that at least "71% of all cases are from three states."
