Nigeria can’t break up, I have nowhere to go – Bola Ahmed Tinubu

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that he is confident that Nigeria cannot break up, adding that he has nowhere to go if it does.

Speaking at a special Ramadan prayer on Sunday, the former Lagos state governor cautioned that the country cannot risk another civil war as Nigeria is yet to recover from the Biafra civil war that took place years ago.

“God will not allow Nigeria to experience war. If we say Nigeria should separate, people should remember what war caused in Sudan and Iraq.

“Such war does not end in time. We are yet to recover from the civil war. We are better together.

“I have nowhere I am going. Whoever has experienced war in the past will not pray for such. Nigeria will not separate; it’s not acceptable to us. Our prayer is for prosperity and more wealth for the country.”

However, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has been calling for a separation of the country

He and members of the group made this call on the alleged marginalization of the Southeast by successive administrations.

The Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho has also called for the creation of Oduduwa Republic.
