Nigeria At 61: We will celebrate our Independence despite many troubles – NUTAG president

The president of the Nigeria Union of Traders Association of Ghana, Chukwuemeka Nnaji, has expressed his gratitude to God as the country celebrates its 61st Independence Day.

According to him, despites many problems bedeviling the country, Nigerians still find a way to make themselves happy.

Today, October 1, 2021, Nigeria is celebrating 61 years of independence after regaining freedom from their colonial masters; Britain in 1960.

Mr Nnaji noted that, to celebrate this year’s Independence Day, Nigerians in Ghana will embark on a month-long activity to show that they are ok because they have faith that things will be better.

“I’ve seen a lot of fliers going round that people want to celebrate it. Nigerians are very happy people, they are overcomers, they always want to put up smile on their faces and irrespective of the problem, irrespective of the trouble, we want to show that we are ok. Because we have faith in God. We have a great country Nigeria and we believe in a better future. There is going to be a whole lot of programmes and it will run throughout the whole October. We will celebrate Nigeria at 61 and we will celebrate it very well.

Extending his warm wishes to all Nigerians in Ghana and other countries, he prayed for a better Nigeria, and urged citizens to continue to work hard and not give up.

“I wish all Nigerians in Ghana and in the diaspora a happy independence. I believe and pray that things will get better as we move on, we are not going to give up. Nigerians are hardworking people and that’s why we succeed in everything we do.”
