Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala poses with President Bola Tinubu at Paris Summit; Nigerians react

The Global Financial summit that was held in Paris over the last two days,
had the presence of several African heads of state including President Bola Tinubu.

The summit which was hosted by President of France, Emmanuel Macron also had the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

In a post shared on her Twitter page, Ngozi Iweala posted photos of herself and other African leaders, including one of herself in a handshake with President Bola Tinubu, businessman Tony Elumelu, President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President Maky Sall of Senegal, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa and Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia, among others.

She captioned the photos, "At a panel in the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact in Paris addressing the issue of the role of trade and trade policy in fighting climate change, poverty and inequality. With @Lagarde, @MathiasCormann, @LaurenceTubiana, @IFADPresident, @rajshah, Sultan Al Jaber, @DrTedros, @JuttaUrpilainen and Nathalie Delapalme #NewGlobalFinancingPact"

She also congratulated President Macron for his effort in bringing together these world leaders to dialogue on the challenges linked to poverty, climate and inequality.

Iweala tweeted; "Congratulations H.E. President @EmmanuelMacro and H.E. PM @miaamormottley for the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact. There was an unprecedented frank but constructive dialogue between leaders from the south and north leading to a consensus on action against interlinked challenges of poverty, climate and inequality and an action plan to solve them."
