The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has empathised with the people of the state with regards to the Policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria with regards to the redesigned Naira notes.
Oluremi Omowaiye, the Chairman, Media and Communication Directorate of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council stated this on Wednesday on the sideline of a press conference organised by the All Progressives Congress in Osogbo.
While declaring the policy as heartless, Omowaiye also stated that the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not interested in playing politics with the lives and feelings of the people.
He noted that the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu had spoken out against and proferred solutions to the policy.
"It did not come to us as a surprise that the presidential candidates if the PDP and Labour Party are supporting the policy because they are not interested in how Nigerians feel.
"On behalf of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, we urge the people of Osun to please endure this because the Supreme Court has said."
He appealed to the people to vote Tinubu on February 25 and all APC candidates.
"For us to have spoken against the policy of the Federal Government shows we are not interested in playing politics with lives and feelings of the people as other presidential candidates and the Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.
"We want our people at home to ensure this trying time. We are not a violent party. We are a peaceful party.
"We have been displaying that and we will continue to display that.
"We will continue to hope that the judiciary, the last hope of the common man will continue to stand by the people."
Omowaiye also revealed that the party was in possession of reports of alleged importation of hoodlums to scuttle the February 25 presidential election.
Osun APC also charged the state governor to hold a security meeting as he has not held any since he became governor in November, 2022 despite that fact that the state is challenged security wise.
