Turkish journalist, Nevzat Dindar has cleared the air on Victor Osimhen’s alleged warning letter to Galatasaray over salary delays.
Following Galatasaray’s 5-2 victory against Juventus in the Champions League Round of 16 playoffs first leg tie last week, reports of a salary crisis at Galatasaray suddenly emerged online.
However, Dindar has now shared information regarding salary payments and Osimhen ahead of Galatasaray’s Champions League Round of 16 playoffs second leg tie against Juventus on Wednesday.
“The claim that Osimhen sent a warning letter to the club due to delayed payments is absolutely untrue,” Dindar said as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.
“Foreign players are used to and understand delays within the legal limits (three months). Osimhen will also be going to Italy.
“Since footballers’ salaries are guaranteed, they don’t mind delays of one or two months. They are more interested in bonuses. A substantial bonus payment was made before the Juventus match as well.
“Victor Osimhen has no outstanding or unpaid payments from Galatasaray. In short, there is no extraordinary problem. Osimhen is receiving his salary while also generating revenue for Galatasaray.”
