National Assembly overdue for rehabilitation - Lawan

Senate President Ahmad Lawan has said that the National Assembly housing the lawmaker's sitting needs rehabilitation.

He made this known on Wednesday after the heavy down pour which caused a leaking roof.

This incident led to the delay of sitting on Tuesday as cleaners had to scoop the water which flooded the lobby of the Assembly.

According to Lindaikejisblog, Lawan was speaking following a point of order moved by the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.

Senator Abdullahi complained about the media reports about the leakage and flooding of the building. He claimed the reports had lots of inaccuracies.
