The Nigerian Stock Exchange has issued guidelines for the conduct of virtual meetings.

Nominating the Company Secretary to take charge of meeting proceedings, it raised a few important points.

The NSE appointed the Secretary to set a precise agenda with the help of the Chairperson and conduct the outlook for the meeting.

It told the secretary to always confirm attendance.

In addition, the NSE alloted all the responsibilities for virtual meetings on the Secretary.

The NSE told companies listed on the Nigerian Bourse to enable the latest reality of virtual meetings and make preparations for presentations, meeting entry and exit, and voting in a well-coordinated manner, where all interests are well represented.

It also advised the firms to make sure the meetings are conducted confidentially.
