NNPCL reduces petrol pump price after Dangote Refinery's cut

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has reduced its petrol pump price.

A market survey by DAILY POST on Wednesday showed that NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja and its environs have reduced their petrol price to N1,325 per litre from between N1,370 and N1,405 per litre.

This means the state-owned oil company's filling stations have reduced their pump price by between N45 and N80 per litre.

The new price has been implemented at NNPCL outlets in Gwarimpa and along the Kubwa Expressway in Abuja.

A fuel attendant at an NNPCL outlet in Abuja, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the development.

"The fuel price was adjusted downward this afternoon," she told DAILY POST.

The development comes barely two days after DAILY POST reported that filling stations across Nigeria, including NNPCL outlets, were expected to reduce their petrol prices following the latest gantry price cut by the Dangote Refinery.

The Dangote Refinery had reduced its petrol gantry price to N1,215 per litre.
