NIS promises better service

The Passport Controller Officer, Festac Passport Office, Lagos State,  Mrs Adeola Adesokan, says her focus is to make the passport office the best in the country.

Adesokan, a Deputy Comptroller of Immigration, said the office would achieve the agenda by ensuring personnel imbibed best practices.

The Comptroller-General, Nigerian Immigration Service, Mr Muhammad Babandede, had deployed Adesokan and some personnel from the head office as part of the drive to overhaul the service’s operations.

She said the NIS personnel at the office were already going through   “Hostmanship Training” periodically to boost their capacity on NIS services and operations.

"We bring in seasoned experts for the training section. The training has started positioning the personnel in the best professional practices. Personnel must remain polite to applicants no matter what the issue may be. The personnel are also trained  to be ready to work in any division of the NIS in the nationwide,” she said
