The Super Eagles of Nigeria will enter a crucial phase in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers campaign next month when they take on Rwanda and South Africa.

Ahead of the crucial encounter, which could define Nigeria's fate in the qualifiers campaign, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced September 1 as the date the team will open camp.

This means the team will begin preparations five days before their first game against Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 6.

Eric Chelle's side will travel to Bloemfontein to face South Africa at the Free State Stadium three days later.

South Africa currently lead the group with 13 points, ahead of Rwanda and Benin Republic, both on eight points.

Nigeria sit in fourth place with seven points after managing four draws and just one win.

The team which finishes at the top of the group will secure automatic qualification to the USA, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
