The spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Michael Achumugu, has urged aeroplane passengers to not only consider their rights but also their responsibilities.
This was after a video surfaced showing a lady aggressively hitting an airport attendant after arriving in Lagos via a flight from Uyo.
The video was shared by @OHOgunbiyi, who said, "Another day, another drama at the Airport between a passenger onboard
@ibomairlines and the AVSEC at the Lagos Airport today. The passenger was on the Uyo to Lagos flight today. E don dey shele."
The video surfaced days after Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, caused commotion at the Abuja Airport by blocking a private jet from taxiing.
Reacting to the latest incident, Achimugu shared on X, "When cabin crew ask you to turn off your phone before takeoff/landing, simply comply. I can't understand why simple routine issues would lead to incidents like this. Passengers need to understand that they have responsibilities, not just rights. Will address this after more details become clearer by tomorrow."
