NANS-Ghana launches education, health, security symposium to empower international students

The National Association of Nigerian Students – Ghana Chapter (NANS-Ghana) has launched the maiden edition of the Education, Health and Security Symposium.

The event, held on March 30, at the main auditorium of BlueCrest College Ghana in Accra, brought together Nigerian and international students, educators, and healthcare professionals for a day of knowledge sharing and community building.

The symposium which focused on empowering international students with the resources and support they need to thrive in their academic journey in Ghana, was organized by the NANS-Ghana in partnership with the Nigerian High Commission.

The attendees participated in engaging presentations and workshops led by stakeholders of members of the Nigerian High Commission, and Ghana Immigration Service, amongst others.

The symposium tackled crucial topics relevant to international students including; Nigerian students having a better understanding of their qualifications, immigration conditions, institutional and program accreditation
and positive outcomes and building connections

The President of NANS-Ghana, Sam Edem said: "the symposium marks the official beginning of a long overdue conversation that must exist between those who make the decisions on education in Abuja and their counterparts in Ghana to ensure the future of the Nigerian Students are not undermined.

"The positive feedback and lively discussions highlight the importance of the events which empowered the Nigerian and international students."
