Nigeria’s first vertical portal, content curation and syndication website,
MyNigeria.com, has partnered with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Ghana to help project their voice and change the narrative of the growing Nigerian student community.

Signed at the AfricaWeb office in Accra, Ghana, the partnership agreement will see both parties share ideas, introduce groundbreaking developmental projects, promote the evolving student business community, promote the cultural values of Nigeria in Ghana and change the negative narrative affecting the student community.

This agreement will be the first of its kind by any Nigerian media platform to touch base with the youths in the diaspora.

Receiving the Nigerian student delegation on behalf of AfricaWeb, Novieku Babatunde Adeola, Editor of MyNigeria.com said the partnership between both parties will give the students the needed voice to bring awareness to their community.

“With thousands of students trooping into Ghana to further their education and discover themselves, MyNigeria.com presents itself as the platform that will ensure their voice gets to the rest of the world. Our platform is independent and devoid of any form of political interference. With MyNigeria.com, we assure you complete privacy of thoughts, an avenue to express your talent, skill and expertise to the rest of the world,” he said.

“This is a one-time opportunity that could change the narrative of Nigeria’s youths in Ghana for years to come and it will create business and internship opportunities for the students who are seeking knowledge and experience,” Novieku Babatunde Adeola added.

The agreement was signed by Ismail Akwei and Hamida Umar Ibrahim, the Editor-in-Chief of AfricaWeb and Executive President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS-Ghana Chapter) respectively.

“I'm actually happy to be coming on board. I am really happy about the whole idea; the initiative is great and the reason I am excited is that the initiative goes hand-in-hand with the objectives of NANS-Ghana chapter,” said Hamida Umar Ibrahim.

“Some of our objectives include ensuring the welfare of our students and dealing with their concerns. Therefore, if we're lending our voice to them by giving them that opportunity and giving them that platform, then it's perfect and it goes hand in hand with our objectives,” she added.

MyNigeria.com operates from Nigeria and all AfricaWeb offices across Africa.
